Quien quiera "hartarse" (en sentido figurado) de ver un Wartburg 311 protagonizando una película, que intente ver "Ida" ("Sister of Mercy" en inglés), una (muy buena) película polaca ambientada en 1962. El coche, como digo, es casi el tercer protagonista de una película que a ratos tiene bastante de "road movie", sin serlo.
¿Quién podía tener un coche así en Polonia, en aquella época? Pues nada menos que una antigua fiscal del Estado (comunista).
La otra protagonista (la "monja") destacando curiosamente el coche, y las escenas en su interior, como el mejor recuerdo del rodaje:

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST MEMORIES OF THE SET?
There were many, but what I often think about are the scenes we were shooting with the Wartburg – a totally unpredictable car that provided a lot of fun and adrenaline – especially for the production crew. The Wartburg was also the only place where the temperature was bearable – winters in Poland can be really freezing – so sitting inside and waiting for what would happen the next moment was pure pleasure.
